Bachelor Degree in Geography
In September 2011, I set out for my "Studying Journey", at the Department of Geography, University of the Aegean, in Mytilene, Greece. I graduated in September 2015, having chosen "Geoinformatics" as a primary scientific domain of specialization and "Physical Geography" as a secondary scientific domain of specialization.
Dissertation
In the context of the Undergraduate Degree, I worked on a Dissertation project entitled "Geostatistical analysis of the distribution of temperature for Greece, for the period 1971-2000. Study and construction of maps", supervised by Professor Dr. Phaedon Kyriakidis. The Dissertation is available here.
Erasmus+ Placement
From July the 1st 2014 to September the 30th 2014 I undertook an Erasmus+ Placement at the TAMSAT Research Group placed at the Department of Meteorology, University of Reading, UK. The project was entitled “Defining Zones of Homogeneous Precipitation over Africa for the Calibration of the TAMSAT Rainfall Algorithm” and was supervised by Dr. Elena Tarnavsky. RMets - Student Conference 2015
From July the 1st to July the 3th 2015 I attended the Student and Early Career Scientists Conference organized by the Royal Meteorological Society, at the University of Birmingham, UK, where I presented results from the Undergraduate Dissertation Project.
